True or False?

Calling all knowledgeable mushroom lovers!

Walking through Drummond Forest near Kenmore yesterday I saw these mushrooms shown below. I thought they looked like the much prized Golden Chanterelle…but when I pointed my PictureMushroom app at them it said they are often mistaken for the toxic “False Chanterelle”. I’m not a confident mushroom picker so discretion being the greater part of valour I left them where they were!

If you know whether these are true or false chanterelles, please let me know in the comments?
