The Sma’ Glen and Buchanty Spout

The Sma’ Glen, running along the Perthshire Tourist Route from Crieff to Aberfeldy, follows the River Almond and although it is not very long, it is scattered with wonderful places like Buchanty Spout where, at the right time of year, you can photograph subjects as varied as salmon leaping as they travel up the river to spawn, macro photography of autumnal fungi or the fabled 8 foot high monolithic stone reputed to be the burial place of Fingal’s father.
